Karen focuses her practice on estate planning. She develops plans for her clients to manage their resources during their lifetimes, protect their assets for future generations, and transfer their holdings after their passing.

Karen provides strategic and insightful counsel on a full range of estate planning matters, including minimization of gift and estate taxes, trust administration, fiduciary succession, and asset protection. Her scope of practice frequently concerns tax-sensitive estate planning issues, as well as management of family business, real estate, and mineral interests. Karen's practice also includes select fiduciary litigation matters related to estate and trust administration.

Karen began her legal career at Winstead P.C. and subsequently worked as division counsel of a publicly traded company. In these roles, she gained wide-ranging experience in many areas, which further assists her understanding of her clients' legal and economic positions.

Karen believes that every client is unique. She is committed to providing customized and objective legal services to protect each individual, family, trust, and estate that she represents.
